K&H HOME SOLUTIONS- UGLY DOOR CONTEST
2020 OFFICIAL RULES
K&H will award one (1) grand prize at the end of the prize period. The prize period begins on October 1, 2020 and ends on October 26, 2020. Entry period from October 1, 2020 at 8:00a MST and ends on October 14, 2020 at 11:59p MST. The grand prize winner will be determined by the amount of “likes” their picture receives on Facebook on the K&H Home Solutions Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KHHomeSolutions). Voting period from October 19, 2020 at 8:00a MST and ends on October 26, 2020 at 7:59a MST. The odds of winning the grand prize are determined by the number of entries received and determined by the votes on Facebook (number of “likes” on their picture uploaded to the K&H Home Solutions Facebook page). K&H reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate this promotion without notice at any time. The winner will be notified by phone or by certified mail within 15 days of the drawing. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. All prizes will be awarded.
The grand prize winner will receive their selection of K&H’s custom made standard doors, professionally installed with a total maximum retail value of $8,500.00, as determined by K&H based on its then-current price list. Prize is not transferable. The prize must be installed at the address listed on the winning entry form. Installation must be provided by K&H personnel or designee. All expenses not specifically provided for are the sole responsibility of the winner. If the door chosen retails higher than $8,500, the winner is responsible for the difference in cost.
No purchase is necessary to participate in this promotion. A sales presentation is requested but not required for entry into our contest. By entering the K&H Ugly Door Contest, the contestant hereby understands that we will provide a K&H product and/or service information by phone, mail or email. Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. You may enter this promotion by completing the entry form and returning it to the drop box where you obtained it, or by mailing it back to K&H at 5805 W. 56th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002. Alternatively, you may print your name and your complete address on a 3”x 5” card, write the words “K&H’ CONTEST ENTRY REQUEST” at the top, and mail the card to K&H at their address above. Mailed entries must be postmarked by October 10, 2020. No more than one entry per household is allowed. K&H is not responsible for any illegible, misplaced, damaged or late entries. The address listed on each entry form must be the address where the prize is to be installed if such entry is selected as a winner.
Contest entrants must (i) be legal residents of the United States; (ii) be 18 years of age or older, (iii) own their own home, which home is in a suitable condition (as determined by K&H or its designees) for installation of the prize (including compliance with local building codes and regulations), and (iv) reside in a geographic area in which K&H is permitted to install such prize at the winner’s location. Employees, officers and directors of K&H, its affiliates, subsidiaries, co-branded partners, consultants, contractors, advertising, public relations, promotion, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (and those living in their same households) are not eligible to participate in the promotion.
Rights Granted by You: By entering this content (PHOTO of your door), You understand and agree that K&H Home Solutions, anyone acting on behalf of K&H Home Solutions, and K&H Home Solutions’ licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. By entering this content, You represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, You will be disqualified at the sole discretion of K&H Home Solutions. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, You shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless K&H Home Solutions from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which K&H Home Solutions may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
House must be in suitable condition for installation (e.g., no water, mold, structural damage, etc.). Any waterproofing, remediation or other repairs necessary for proper installation (as deemed by K&H or its designees in their sole discretion) must be performed at owner’s expense prior to installation. Installation labor does not include painting or staining. No transfers, substitution in prizes or cash will be allowed except by K&H, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole or absolute discretion. Cash value of the prize is deemed to be $8,500.00. Upon installation of prize, K&H will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the winner with the winner assuming full ownership and responsibility for the prize. Winner must arrange for prize installation no later than one month following the award of the prize and installation must occur and be completed within twelve months of confirmed notification.
The winner must comply with all instructions in the prize notification correspondence, including the completion of an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, and return them within fourteen days of the date on the prize notification correspondence as well as have met all of the eligibility requirements set forth within these Rules; otherwise prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Acceptance or use of a prize constitutes permission for K&H and its affiliates to use recipients name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
Liability for any applicable taxes, including all federal, state, and local taxes and/or other fees that may apply to prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any required tax reporting forms will be furnished to the Internal Revenue Service. All expenses not specifically provided for by K&H in these Rules are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Entries that are lost, late, illegible or incomplete for any reason will not be eligible. K&H reserves the right to modify or terminate this Contest at any time or disqualify any entry in good faith. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the winning home is titled.
For winner information, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope within 30 days following a prize period to K&H at 5805 W. 56th Ave. Arvada, CO 80002, including a request for the winner’s name.
By participating in the promotion, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless K&H, its affiliates, co-branded partners, subsidiaries, retailers, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages which may arise out of participation in the promotion in any way or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of a prize. Acceptance of a prize may require entering a standard contract or purchase order for the goods and services to be provided, as required by state law. This promotion is conducted in English (which will be given its everyday ordinary meaning).
This contest is sponsored by K&H Home Solutions and governed by the laws of the United States with venue in Jefferson County, Colorado.
The Campaign hosted by K&H Home Solutions is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
K&H Home Solutions employees and previous sweepstakes winners are not eligible to win this contest.
